Our care homes in Surrey and West Sussex provide round-the-clock nursing to residents with diverse health issues, including advanced and terminal conditions. At our nursing home in Horsham, we also have a permanent staff of Registered Nurses available every day of the year.

Sensory Care.
At our care homes in Surrey and West Sussex, sensory care plays a crucial role in supporting dementia patients, as well as palliative residents and stroke victims. Acorn House, located in the leafy suburban town of Kenley, Surrey, features a dedicated sensory lounge designed to engage the senses of elderly residents with diverse needs. Through regular sensory therapy sessions, our carers reduce stress, confusion, frustration, anxiety and depression in residents, promoting calmness and peace of mind.
Physical Disability Care
Residents with physical disabilities are cared for by dedicated carer(s) who they’ll see every day. We provide 24-hour physical disability care to elderly residents who struggle with daily personal care routines, including continence care, hygiene, dressing and nutritional support. Our teams are highly trained in all aspects of physical disability care, including mobility assistance, wound care, pain control, and disability due to strokes and Parkinson’s disease. Aids such as walking frames and wheelchairs can be provided with various other assistive devices.
Mental Health Care
At our residential care homes in Surrey and West Sussex, we provide personalised mental health care tailored to each resident’s needs. Where appropriate, we also encourage participation in social and recreational activities and events. Each member of staff undergoes a thorough screening process.
All Medicrest staff members undergo a thorough screening process, including an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and detailed professional and character references. New employees complete a three-month probation period and receive bi-monthly clinical supervision. Long-standing staff receive annual performance appraisals, but the most valuable feedback comes directly from our residents and their families.
