Feedback and complaints procedures
Every resident in our care is informed of our feedback and complaints procedures and what they entail. Residents and family members are welcome at quarterly meetings and urged to offer new ideas and suggestions.
We tailor our service to suit your needs, but if you are dissatisfied, the first person to speak to is the Registered Care Home Manager. If unavailable, your assigned carer will assist you on her behalf. We aim to acknowledge your concerns within 72 hours and will document the issue, detailing the steps we have taken to address them. If you feel our response does not fully resolve your concerns, we encourage you to contact our Inspectorate for further assistance.

Each of our care homes has a dedicated, permanent care team that residents can get to know and rely on. Every resident is assigned a personal carer who is responsible for their care needs and well-being, ensuring that no one ever goes without the attention they need. We work closely with our residents to build trusting relationships that help them feel comfortable, safe and supported in our care.
Each member of staff undergoes a thorough screening process.
All Medicrest staff members undergo a thorough screening process, including an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and detailed professional and character references. New employees complete a three-month probation period and receive bi-monthly clinical supervision. Long-standing staff receive annual performance appraisals, but the most valuable feedback comes directly from our residents and their families.
